Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI)

The ECEI approach is how the NDIS is working with Early Childhood Providers to deliver early childhood intervention for children aged 0–6 years. The aim of this approach is to ensure that parents and caregivers are able to provide young children who have developmental delay or disabilities with experiences and opportunities that help their children gain and use the functional skills they need to participate meaningfully in their environment.

Under this program MEIS will offer individualised supports for children with an NDIS plan and their families. MEIS will identify individual goals for each child and their family and discuss evidence based supports that can help meet these goals. The supports may include providing information and referral to other support services or organisations. Services are tailored to meet the individual needs of the child and our focus is on supporting children in their natural environments and in their everyday experiences and activities.
